Black womxn and womxn of color are our target demographic and the community we serve and the lens in which see inequity. We fully welcome and embrace allies to share and hold safe space with us and for us.




can i contact my ambassadors?


Yes, there are many ways to contact an Ambassador. In each activity posted, you can post a comment to ask public questions. You can also chat directly with your ambassador after booking.




how far in advance can i reserve activities?


In order to follow current CDC guidelines and keep group sizes small, we require activities to be booked 24 hours in advance. This allows us (and you) to be prepared for the activity with proper attire and details.




can i get a receipt?


Yes, you’ll get a receipt via email once the ambassador has approved your request.




what are the cancellation terms?


Full refunds are given for any activity that is cancelled with less than 48 hours (2 days) notice prior to the start time. You may cancel monthly memberships at any time. To avoid charges, please cancel 7 days prior to your monthly bill date. Example: If your membership is due on the 14th of every month, you would need to cancel your membership no later than the 7th to avoid.




what happens if the activity needs to be cancelled due to weather?


Our activities are all based outdoors and our goal is to safely embrace the diversity of seasons and local weather. However, we will cancel activities in the event weather presents an environment that would be unsafe to continue; in those cases you will get an automatic refund for the scheduled activity. Memberships are not affected and will not be reimbursed for one cancelled activity . Please contact us with any refund requests at team@tryxconquer.com




i booked an activity but my ambassador didn’t show up, what do i do?


We hope that never happens! But, if for some reason your Ambassador/Outdoor Bestie does not show up at the specified meeting area within 20 minutes of the activity start time, you will get refunded in the same day.




is my credit card information safe with you?


Your credit card is securely processed by Stripe, so Try X Conquer nor the Ambassadors never have access to your credit card data. Learn more about Stripe here.

can i become an ambassador?


Yes, anyone with an enthusiasm for the outdoors, health and wellness can post and lead an activity!




do i need to have a certification to host an activity?


Certifications are not required, but if you have them, please include them in your profile! Our Outdoor Besties generally have previous experience with instructing groups, community organizing, teaching, or some experience in nature. It’s cool, if you don’t - the point is to start where you are.




how much should i charge for my activity?


Ultimately, the cost is up to you. Keep in mind higher costs can become a barrier so we suggest that keeping a good balance between accessible and worth your time and experience. The average member expects to pay about $15-$25 per activity.




does try x conquer take a commission from me?


No, but there is a 5% fee for credit card processing.




do you verify all my activity postings?


Yep! We review all listings to ensure that necessary details have been included in an effort to help you maximize bookings and provide a great outdoor activity.




i want to host an activity, what should i do?


You’ll first, create a member profile to access the app. Once you have a profile, click “Become An Ambassador” in the app. Our team will review it within 5 hours. For more questions, you can schedule a 15 minute call with us here and we help you prepare for your first outdoor activity!




cancellation policy


Members will receive a 100% refund if they cancel 48 hours in advance of activity start times. Members will also receive a 100% refund if you do not show up to the activity within 20 minutes of the start time. In both cases; you would not receive payment for those cancellations. Should weather or unforeseen circumstances impact your activity after that time, please contact us at team@tryxconquer.com




can i communicate with those who book my activity?


Absolutely! You can message your activity participants directly in the app in the comments section of the activity.




how far in advance can i create an activity?


Activities can be created as far as 30 days in advance.




when will i get paid for my activities?


You will receive a PayPal deposit to the PayPal account you entered when you created your Ambassador profile for each payment within 7 days of activity. Need to discuss more questions? Schedule a call here.
